IPL 2019 Team, Squad, Players, Retained Players, Released Players List

For the 2019 IPL edition, 15 November was the last date for all IPL franchises to finalize their squad retentions. All eight teams retained some of the main players, exchanged a few and released the remains of under-performing players. With the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 auction around the corner, the IPL franchises have announced the names of their retained and released players.

Australia cricketers Steve Smith and David Warner are the two biggest retentions for the IPL 2019, both are suspended for their part in the ball-tampering scandal during the Test against South Africa prior this year.

David Warner and Steve Smith have been retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals respectively as both are set to return. They had missed out the last edition of the IPL T20 league.

Gautam Gambhir (DD) and Yuvraj Singh (KXIP) are the big names who released by their franchise. Rajasthan Royals released Jaydev Unadkat because of his poor performance in the 11th edition of the cash-rich league. He got INR 11.5 crore for his services prior this year. Among the players discharged, names like Mohammed Shami, Glenn Maxwell, Wriddhiman Saha, Carlos Brathwaite, Daniel Christian have also been released and will go under the hammer next month.
