The 3rd Test match between India and Australia has been started on Wednesday at Melbourne. After the four-match Test series, India will play one-day series against Australia.
For that series, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the team on Wednesday. Captain Cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni will return to the ODI squad for the 3 ODI match series against Australia. Young and dazzling keeper Rishabh Pant has been dropped from the ODI team.
Considering the importance of the 2019 World Cup, there have been many changes in the team in the past few months. So MS Dhoni was given rest in some series.
MS Dhoni last played for the tour against the West Indies in November. However, his performance has not been satisfactory. He has scored 13 innings in 2018 with an average of 25. It was his lowest performance after the debut. In the last seven international matches, he scored 23, 7, 20, 36, 8, 33 and 0 respectively. With MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya and Kedar Jadhav will make a comeback after the injury.
