Dhoni helps India to clinch the series with his performance

India’s spinner Yuzvendra Chahal gave a perfect performance on Friday on the Melbourne Cricket Ground. In front of his spin, Australia’s batsmen surrendered. Chahal took 6 wickets for 42 runs and Australia’s whole team returned to 230 runs. He became India’s first spinner in Australia’s six-wicket haul against Australia in the ODI series.

Australia’s Peter Handscombe (58) tried to fight but did not get any support from the team-mates. Usman Khawaja (34) and Shaun Marsh (39) were also tried to contribute but their efforts were inadequate and Australia all out on 230 in 48.4 overs.

India has not started very well during the chasing the target. Hitman Rohit Sharma returned on 9 runs. Shikhar Dhawan and skipper Virat Kohli seemed to be making a big partnership, but Marcus Stonis bowled him on his own bowling and sent him back.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni got his first ball alive. After Kohli and Dhoni got two life each, concentrate on the rest of the game by rotating the strike. So the gap between the runs and the ball started drastically reduced.

After Kohli was dismissed for 46, Dhoni made a half-century partnership with Kedar Jadhav. Dhoni completed the half-century in the third match in a row. Jadhav also completed the half-century. Jadhav, also playing his first game of the series, the fourth-wicket stand of 121 helped India across the line with four balls to spare.
