The Indian team is ready for the Twenty20 series starting on Wednesday after pocketing one-day series against New Zealand. Rohit Sharma will lead the team in the Twenty20 series, due to captain Virat Kohli being rested. There will be a chance to see some new faces in the Twenty20 series.
Everyone is curious to see is Krunal Pandya would get the chance to play in the first match. If there is a place in the Hardik Pandya team, and if there is an opportunity for Krunal Pandya to play in the last eleven in tomorrow’s match, then a record will be recorded in the names of Pandya brothers. Hardik and Krunal are also keen to play together in an international match.
For the first time, Hardik and Krunal have a possibility of playing in the same international match in their career. Hardik’s place is confirmed because of his consistent performance. Krunal has also joined New Zealand for the Twenty20 series.
The Pandya brothers also practiced hard on Tuesday. They have become obsessed to play together in the first match. If that happens, then after Amarnath and Pathan brothers, they will be the third brother to play together in a single international match.
Mohinder and Surinder Amarnath have represented India in many international matches. His father Lala Amarnath was the first batsman to score a Test century for India.
Irfan and Yusuf Pathan played together for the first time in the 2009 Sri Lanka match. Both of them made a 59-run partnership for the eighth wicket and given the victory to India. The coincidence is that the Pathan brothers and Pandya brothers are from Baroda. Yusuf still plays for Baroda, while Irfan represents Jammu and Kashmir.
Krunal and Hardik had the opportunity to play together in England but did not do so in Twenty20 matches. Krunal made his Twenty20 debut against the West Indies and Hardik could not play the match due to injury. After that, Krunal had played in the Twenty20 series against Australia.
