The IPL governing body declared the VIVO IPL 2020 auction date today. The VIVO IPL 2020 auction will take place at Kolkata on December 19, 2019. The auction for the 2019 IPL season was also held in December 2018.

In the 2018 auction, each team was allowed to retain five players. But this year, more players are likely to be retained. The trading window closes on November 14. Each team is allowed to spend 85 crores for the new organization. This is an increase of 3 crores this year.
After the auction last year, Delhi Capitals had the highest amount of Rs 8.2 crore left. At the same time, Royal Challengers Bangalore had the least Rs 1.8 crore in their account.
